2022 Cycle for Shelter

Important Ride Information

We are so excited that you will be part of this year's Cycle for Shelter!

Thank you for helping people facing homelessness rebuild their lives and reach their fullest potential!

We areputting the final touches on this year's event and wish to share some important infomraiton with you. 


A "Shine" Only Event

Unline past years, this year we will NOT ride if the forecast calls for severe inclement weather. Right now the forecast calls for a beautiful sunny day, perfect for riding! However, if that should change, we will notify riders of our decision to cancel by 5 a.m. via email and social media (Facebook/Instagram). 

If pop-up storms or showers occur while the ride is in progress, we will utilize our route support team to get all rideres to safety.


Electronic Liability Waivers

This year we are asking that you please fill out a liability waiver via a google doc prior to our ride.  The waiver will be emailed to all registered riders by Wednesday, September 16 and must be completed by Saturday, September 17 at 10 a.m.

If you do not fill out the waiver online, you will be required to do so at the registration table on Sunday morning. 

NO cyclist will be allowed to ride without filling out a waiver. 


Packet Pick-Up Party, Friday, Sept. 16

For all riders, a packet-pick-up party will be held on Friday, Sept. 16 from 4-7 p.m. at Riverside Cycle in Haverhill on Ginty Blvd. We encourage you to stop by and pick up your rider packet, and any last-minute supplies you might need for the ride. 

New riders may register at this event, too!

Pizza and refreshments will be served!


 New for 2022--Make Your Own Goodie Bags! 

This year we are trying something new--Make Your Own Goodie Bags! 

Riders will have the opportunity to create their goodie bags when you return from your ride on Sunday.  Please go to the Goodie Bag table.  Virtual riders who are not able to come to the ride will receive a pre-pakaged goodie bag. Contact Margot Regan to arrange pick-up of your bag.

15-mile route--Our Family Fun Ride is perfect for new riders, families with children, and those who wish to ride at a leisurely pace--and there's ice cream!

Day of Registration and Fundraising Requirement

Please let your friends kow that you can sign up to cycle on the day of the event.  To ride, you will be required to pay a $100 registration fee and give a credit card guarantee to meet your $250 minimum fundraising requirement.  Your card will not be charged until after the October 1 deadline if the minimum has not be fulfilled. 

All riders have until October 1 to raise the $250 minimum fundraising requirement per rider, or 400 per family (for officially registered family teams). 

This year's prizes for top male and female fundraisers are complete bike overhauls generously donated by Riverside Cycle. Right now we have a handful of people vying or the top spots!


Virtual Riders--We'd Love to See You!


We'd love to see our Virtual Riders! All Virtual Riders are welcome to join us at the college on Sunday for lunch and to pick up your goodie bag!

If you are a Virtual Rider and wish to now participate in person, please contact Margot at 978-241-3425 or margot@emmausinc.org to switch your route.
