2021 Cycle for Shelter

Ride Virtually or In-Person on Sept. 19 2021

We hope you will join us for our 33rd Annual Cycle for Shelter!

This year we are giving our riders the option of riding virtually or joining us in-person on Sunday, September 19 (if COVID restrictions allow). Please note the new SEPTEMBER date! It is our hope that conditions will be much better to hold an in-person ride later in 2021. Please note, due to COVID guidelines, this year we will be modifying our post-ride cookout (but don't worry, we will still make it fun!) and we have modified our routes slightly. These measures, we hope, are temporary and by 2022 we will be back to "normal!"

We encourage interested riders to register early! If the in-person ride is limited in numbers due to state restrictions, we will operate under a "first-come, first-served" model and those who registered first will have the opportunity to participate until we reach our maximum allowed number of riders.

This year we are requring that all riders, regardless of if they choose to ride virtually, raise a minimum of $250. As you can imagine, we faced signifcant unanticipated costs due to the COVID-19 pandemic. As this health crisis continues, our expenses continue to mount. We rely on events like this to help us weather these unforseen storms so we can continue to provide for our community's most-vulnerable men, women and children.

All riders, including virtual riders, will receive an Emmaus Goodie Bag. Riders who raise $750 in addition to their registration fee will receive a free 2021 Cycle for Shelter jersey. Riders who raise $1,989 will become part of the "Founders Cycling Group." Members of this group will be invited to a special gathering this fall.

FOR THE SECOND YEAR IN A ROW: Cycle for Shelter now has a club on the Strava App! Please join our Team! We will have fun contests throughout the summer leading up to our in-person ride in September. Stay tuned for more information!

We look forward to seeing you all again!
