The Employee Owners of International Cars, Ltd. take great pride in supporting charitable based initiatives that directly impact their local communities. Marshall Jespersen, Chairman of the Board of International Cars and an avid cyclist, started participating in the Cycle for Shelter with his wife Elena more than two decades ago. Several years ago, Marshall joined the Cycle for Shelter Planning Committee and pledged his company’s support of the event. Marshall believes that this type of involvement is an integral part of the success of an employee owned company.
Cycle for Shelter has become a family affair for Marshall as several of his children often join him on his rides. He is known for riding his recumbent cycle along the course, and around town.
Over the past two decades, the Jespersens and ICL have contributed more than $100,000 to Emmaus which has helped to fulfill our mission of serving our community’s most vulnerable citizens. In 2015, Emmaus presented Marshall and Elena, along with the entire ICL family, the Community Hero Award for their outstanding commitment to Emmaus.
