Welcome to My Personal Page
Thank you for visiting my Personal Fundraising Page.
I am participating in the 34th Annual Cycle for Shelter to benefit Emmaus.
I pledge to ride to raise critically needed funds to support Emmaus programs that help families and individuals who are homeless rebuild their lives. On any given night, more than 300 adults and children call “Emmaus” home. Located in Haverhill, MA, this past year Emmaus programs assisted more than 1,575 different people each year, including 630 children! Emmaus has been recognized in Massachusetts and nationally as a best-practice model for responding to homelessness and was recently named "Non-Profit of the Year" by the Greater Haverhill Chamber of Commerce for its exemplary work during the pandemc.
Right now, Emmaus needs our help more than ever.
The past two years have demonstrated the impact of Emmaus' mission upon the lives of our community's most vulnerable members. Without interruption, throughout the global pandemic Emmaus' two emergency shelters have cared for children and adults without any place to call "home." Emmaus has placed 40 individuals living on the streets into permanent housing since March 2020. And the formerly homeless women, men and children who reside in the 99 affordable apartments that Emmaus owns and manages, have lived safely and securely during these turbulent times. Emmaus has achieved all of this but it's been very costly. Emmaus is still incurring $40,000 every month in pandemic-related staffing and operating costs. By year end, this will amount to close to $500,000. Emmaus needs this event to help offset these incredible expenses.
I hope you will support my ride so that Emmaus can continue to care for and serve our community's most-vulnerable members.
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to make a contribution to my fundraising efforts. Many thanks for your support -- and don't forget to forward this to anyone who you think might want to donate too!
