Hi, everyone, and welcome to my CFS 2018 page!
Welcome back, folks!
This year we've formed a new team, "Two Tired to Ride", which I am hoping to populate with friends from Main Street Congregational Church in Amesbury, First Presbyterian Church in Haverhill, and Philips Healthcare where I work, in Andover. I personally will be riding the 62 mile ride (100 kilometers) again. This will be my eighth year in the saddle doing the 100K (well, technically my 7th year, if you don't count the one year when I cycled the 100 mile route). I'll keep riding because I believe in the cause; I hope you will keep supporting me for the same reason. This year Emmaus celebrates its 30th year of Cycle For Shelter - a great milestone, and well worth celebrating! Please be extra generous this year in celebration of this event!
We are raising critically needed funds to support Emmaus programs that help families and individuals who are homeless rebuild their lives. On any given night, more than 350 adults and children call “Emmaus” home. Located in Haverhill, MA, Emmaus programs assist 4,000 different people each year. Emmaus has been recognized in Massachusetts and nationally as a best-practice model for responding to homelessness.
Cycle for Shelter brings together hundreds of riders and volunteers who care deeply about creating solutions to the tragedy of homelessness. I will be included among this group of local heroes who are striving to make homelessness a thing of the past.
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to make a contribution to my fundraising efforts. Many thanks for your support -- and don't forget to forward this to anyone who you think might want to donate too!
