Welcome to My Personal Page
Please support my Cycle for Shelter Ride for Emmaus that occurred on 7/23/17!!
Hello Friends, Family & Fellow Fitness Fans!
WOW, thank you SO much for all of your support so far in 2017. There is still time to donate and help me hit my financial goal of raising much needed funds for Emmaus. Our ride yesterday was ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC!
I cannot say enough about the Emmaus Staff and COUNTLESS volunteers that make this ride happen. From the folks at registration to everyone staffing the rest stops- they surely made it easy to pedal 62 miles for such a worthy cause. We had the most spectacular weather yesterday-thank you God that the rain that is pouring down today did not drench us yesterday!
I already know I am going to do the Emmaus ride next July, maybe I'll tackle the Century again. I challenge everyone reading this to consider training and riding with me in 2018. Let's DO IT!!! You can pre-register at a discounted rate in the Winter of 2018 and we can start planning our training rides and get outside in April. Who is in???
This is my TENTH year supporting Emmaus and the Cycle For Shelter.
I am extremely privileged to be able to ride 62 miles in support of this amazing organization that has been providing housing and services to families and individuals in need in MA since 1985.
The 29th Cycle for Shelter will feature 4 Routes, 6 rest stops, an amazing cookout at the finish line and FUN! But most importantly, Cycle for Shelter raises critical funds to support Emmaus, a non-profit community development housing organization that provides emergency shelter and affordable housing and support services to homeless and formerly homeless adults, families and children.
Since 1985 Emmaus has served more than 27,000 men, women and children Last year alone we helped 4,085 people—and of those 2,353 were children. In fact, the average age for a homeless person in Massachusetts is 8 years old.
Emmaus is a local non-profit 501C(3) organization. Tax exempt #222 702 774 with very low administrative overhead costs (less than 10%). Emmaus does not use an event management service, so 100% of the funds raised go to Emmaus programs.
And the money stays local and helps people in our community rebuild their lives.
Thank you for reading this far and for considering Emmaus worthy of your support, any small amount that you can contribute is greatly appreciated.
